Celiac Disease
I guess if you have to have a disease, Celiac is a good one to have. There are no medicines and it's completely controllable. The tricky part is that it takes far more work to control than just taking a pill. It can isolate you and make you feel like you can't eat anything. I have more than once grumbled about it not being fair as I scanned a menu trying to find something- ANYTHING- that I could eat. I am trying to take a more positive attitude. I should consider myself lucky. *God* (or whoever) is forcing me to be healthy by eliminating loads of prepared and refined foods from my life.
Anyway, I'm really trying to jump on the GF wagon where I know I belong and I'm going to use this blog to chronical the journey.
